My name is Alan Higby.  I am The Dance Explosion.

When I was in high school and college, I played guitar in a band named The Walnut Street Project.  When that band broke up, I had quite a few songs that I was still working on, so I decided to finish the songs and record a solo album.  Those songs became the album This Dance Explodes which I released in 2004.

I worked on a few songs in the following years, but I didn’t find much time to work on music seriously.  In 2009, I quit my job and began writing and recording again.  I hope to release my second album soon.
